Heat Wave Continues with Spotty ShowersCHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - The heat continues. Fortunately for the day, a frontal system stalls to our south bringing less humid conditions. That system will lift north bringing increased humidity and isolated shower and storm chances Monday into Tuesday. It looks like the best opportunity for the showers will be mainly over the valley, although showers and storms over the rest of central Virginia can’t be ruled out. A frontal system will also be approaching from the west on Tuesday, which in conjunction with the remnants of Beryl will likely stall over the region bringing increased rain potential. As we approach the end of the week, we’ll also get a break in the heat with a drop nearly 10 degrees by Friday, giving us daytime highs in the low 80′s. Check back for updates.4 hours ago
